Content:
The purpose of the workshop is two-fold. First, it is designed to broaden your perspectives on the forces that are shaping world-wide competition and how successful companies have adapted and must adapt further in the future. Not only must economic issues be taken into account, but also social and political forces need careful consideration if executives are to avoid surprises. The changes now visible in such important markets as China and India show just how different are the effects of globalization in different regions.
The second purpose is to look in greater detail at the agenda for change. This will demonstrate how all the issues can be mapped out consistently to guide your future actions. The agenda will include competitive benchmarking, the design of new structures to handle the growing complexity of managing a global network of resources and the demands on processes to maintain control and continuous adaptation to the dynamic of the markets.
The issues will be illuminated by the experience of successful CEOs. They will share their experience and what they have learned in tackling tough international markets.
Take-home value:
The workshop will provide you with a workbook in which you can plot the details of the specific forces affecting your own firm. This workbook is designed to provide you with a practical ‘map’ of all the issues that affect your future global strategy. Because of the inherent complexity of the task, you will only have started to build the complete picture. To allow for this, the workbook is also designed to be used after the workshop.
Target group:
This 2-day workshop is designed for operational-level executives in both established multinational companies and in companies early in their internationalisation strategy. Both manufacturing and service companies are included. Small teams of executives from the same company are welcome as they can share perspectives on common issues and thus accelerate their own learning.
Feedback:
"Very rich practical material, directly to use in the company. Specially enriching was the open flow of discussions and arguments by the participants of the different companies," Bernd Kühne-Oertel, Karl Kühne KG, Hamburg.
"When I came here I had a slight idea of our future strategy. Now I go home with precise action plans in my head," CEO of a medium-sized company.
