Prof. Dennis J. Snower PhD has taught macroeconomics, microeconomics, labour economics, monetary economics, public policy, international economics, the economics of information and environmental economics at universities in the USA, Austria, Sweden, Italy, Israel and the UK. Before taking up his current post as President of Kiel Institute for the World Economy, he was Professor of Economics and Chairman of the Department of Economics of Birkbeck College, University of London. He has adviced various of the European commission and various OECD countries on employment policy and welfare state policy.
